Sometimes, there is website text which is just too small to read. In order to make our experience more pleasant, there are two methods for changing the zoom level on a web page: using the mouse and keyboard or just using the keyboard.
Method 1: The Mouse and Keyboard
In order to change the zoom level using the mouse and keyboard, we will need to use both of our hands. Our left hand will need to find the “Control” or “CTRL” button on the keyboard, as shown below:
The right hand will move the scrolling wheel on the mouse, as shown below:
Some computers are different, but in the general case, holding down the CTRL with our left hand and scrolling away from our body will make the text larger. Otherwise, holding down the CTRL with our left hand and scrolling towards our body will make the text smaller.
To summarize:
Zoom In / Make Text Larger : Hold CTRL and Scroll Away From Body
Zoom Out / Make Text Smaller : Hold CTRL and Scroll Towards Body
Method 2: The Keyboard
In order to change the zoom level using only the keyboard, we will again need to use both hands. Our left hand will need to find the “Control” or “CTRL” button on the keyboard, as shown below:
The right hand will need to use either the “+” or the “-” buttons depending on the size we want to achieve, as shown below.
If we want to Zoom In / Make the text larger, we will hold the CTRL button with our left hand and click the “+” button with our right hand. Otherwise, if we want to Zoom Out / Make the text smaller, we will hold the CTRL button with our left hand and click the “-” button with our right hand.
To summarize:
Zoom In / Make Text Larger : Hold CTRL and press + button
Zoom Out / Make Text Smaller : Hold CTRL and press – button
